This is a surprisingly large office building proposed as a rezoning in the Mount Pleasant area close to the West Broadway and Olympic Village transit stations. Designed by IBI Group for Cressey, the building would have 16,000 sq ft of retail at grade and 8 floors of offices with 157,000 sq ft of space above. Currently there’s a Craftsman Collision facility on the site.
The design has changed to reflect the Urban Design Panel review and suggested changes. The non-structural frame element that was in the first design has gone (shown on the right), the lower section is lower and the taller section higher, and overall there’s slightly more space in the revised, more coherent design, with just under 2,000 sq ft of added office space.
