We noted a few weeks ago that Pinnacle’s ‘The One’ had completed their first building, but the second was still being finished. So here it is; one of the most dramatically pointy buildings we’ve seen – a feature that wasn’t immediately obvious from the early renders of the project.
The façade is angled to open up a space to the grid of the former Olympic Village and the Salt Building. The face of the building is slightly hinged in the centre, with a really large canopy supported on angled wooden columns.
The public art for the building can just be seen on the left – white piles referencing the role of the Salt Building (now a bar/restaurant) across West First Avenue.
